What drew you to real estate?

Real estate felt like a natural extension of who I am. Before becoming a REALTOR®, I worked in education, helping families through big decisions with patience and care. I’ve always loved the idea of home — not just as a place, but as a feeling. Helping people find where they belong and build equity for their future is something I take to heart. My faith plays a big role in how I approach both life and business. I believe that serving others with honesty and compassion is part of my purpose.

What unique professional experiences or skills do you possess that enhance your abilities as a REALTOR®?

My background in teaching taught me how to listen well, communicate clearly, and stay organized. Those skills have carried over seamlessly into the real estate industry. I’m also a homesteader, which gives me firsthand knowledge of rural and acreage properties — from soil and fencing to the practicalities of daily life on land. My mornings often start with milking our family cow before my day with clients begins, and that rhythm keeps me grounded and focused.

What personality traits do you think are important in this profession?

Integrity, empathy, and determination. Real estate requires both heart and strategy. Clients need someone who can listen, stay calm, and guide them through the details with confidence. I care deeply about doing what’s right and making sure every client feels supported from the first meeting to closing day and beyond.

Which areas do you serve, and what do you love about them?

I serve all of Kitsap County, with a focus on Poulsbo, Kingston, Bainbridge Island, and Silverdale. I love that Kitsap offers such a meaningful mix of beauty and community — where people still wave to their neighbors, support local businesses, and appreciate a slower, more intentional way of living. Each town has its own charm, and I feel grateful to help clients find their place here.

How long have you lived here?

I was raised in Kitsap County and chose to stay because of the lifestyle it offers. My husband, a Marine veteran, and I wanted to raise our children surrounded by nature, family, and a sense of purpose. We homeschool and live on a small homestead where life feels grounded — from quiet mornings with our cows to evenings spent together at home. It’s a place that reflects our values and reminds us daily why we chose to plant roots here.

How are you involved in the community?

Our family is active in 4-H and the Sound Youth Livestock Club, and we look forward to the Kitsap County Fair each year. I also enjoy featuring local farms, small businesses, and community events through my blog, Home With Grimes.  Supporting others in our area matters to me. When we invest in our community, we all grow stronger together.

What made you decide to work with Windermere?

I chose Windermere because it’s a respected local brokerage known for professionalism and integrity. The company’s strong reputation and community presence stood out to me. Windermere has deep roots here in Kitsap, and I’m proud to be part of a team that truly values people and service over sales.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with us?

I love helping families through life transitions, whether that means buying their first home, finding more space, or downsizing to begin their next chapter. My goal is to make every move feel purposeful, well-guided, and rewarding. At the end of the day, I’m proud to serve families the same way I live my life: with hard work, heart, and a little bit of homegrown grit.
